Approximately 50 percent of Catholic homilies last 10 minutes or less, but conservative Protestant sermons are rarely less than 10 minutes, according to the U.S. Congregational Life Survey, which provides an illustration of sermon duration at worship services for U.S. faith traditions, succinctly illustrated in two graphs.
