Who Visits Congregations

At a typical worship service, 2 percent of worshippers are first time attendees. First timers are remarkably similar to regular attendees in many ways. However, key differences emerge. The majority of first-time visitors (67 percent) were participating in another congregation before visiting their new congregation. Access the findings about visitors from the U.S. Congregational Life Survey to get some pointers from growing churches on how to attract visitors and keep them coming.
