Talking About Money at Church
Despite a rich biblical tradition steeped in conversations about money and godly financial stewardship, the local bank often speaks more eloquently and persuasively about money than the local church, and public school teachers are more likely to discuss spending, saving and sharing than are Sunday School teachers. Most U.S. churches shy away from linking God to mammon, but the membership needs that connection, because congregations serve a God who seeks to be God of every part of our lives and livelihood. This reflection by Pastor Kevin Armstrong includes discussion questions that make it a great study for leaders and leadership teams, as well as for Bible study groups considering stewardship issues: http://www.faithandleadership.com/content/my-financial-autobiography.
