The Salvation Army Fights Child Trafficking

Children in the United States are being recruited, lured, kidnapped and seduced from their homes and sold into sexual slavery over the Internet. The high profit involved keeps the crime hidden, according to the Salvation Army. Now “The Quest to End Child Trafficking,” a five-minute video produced by the interfaith multimedia coalition Odyssey Networks, introduces the problem, reveals the family dynamics that victimize many children before they end up in sex slavery, exposes the silent collusion of government and service agencies, and highlights the role faith communities can play in saving vulnerable children.
