Journalists Eligible For Religion, Spirituality Scholarships

Journalists wishing to take college courses in religion or spirituality may apply for a scholarship administered by the Religion Newswriters Association. The ongoing program, funded by a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., covers up to $5,000 in related tuition and expenses at accredited schools or seminaries. Applications are reviewed quarterly (Jan. 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 1), with decisions announced three weeks after deadlines. For information and to apply, visit the Religion Newswriters Association website.
