How to actually love your neighbor as yourself in the real world

Here is the uncomfortable truth about becoming a congregation that loves its neighbors as it loves itself: The congregation must go out and meet its neighbors, writes Joan Huyser-Honig in an article for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, an institution devoted to worship renewal. This works best, she continues, when your church does two things: Define who you’re called to love in a special way, and practice spiritual discipline. Huyser-Honig's article expands on those themes by using real-world examples to identify what churches need to do to know how to meet their neighbors, and offers esource links and discussion questions.
