The African American Lectionary website includes a Dialogue Corner that encourages in-depth reflection on topics of interest and concern to African American church leaders and members. Here are perspectives on black preaching offered by a range of African American church leaders. Essays include a review of the history of black preaching, a look at the styles black preachers employ, techniques and pointers for interpreting the text and developing powerful sermons, and perspectives on topical issues such as homosexuality, the womanist movement and the Word of Faith movement.
