The National Parish Inventory Summary of Project and Findings

This project was designed to collect information from every Catholic parish in the U.S., emphasizing the social and ministerial context of congregational life in U.S. Catholic parishes. It is one of several parish-oriented studies conducted by the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown University. CARA focuses primarily on the Catholic Church, but also engages in ecumenical and interfaith projects, as well as in projects that focus on social service issues or community needs. The Hartford Institute for Religion Research provides information about CARA and the National Parish Inventory with links to additional CARA studies.
