Leadership Success in High Performing Churches

This scholarly paper assesses the impact of transformational leadership on organizational vitality, member behavior and member perception. Results from the U.S. Congregational Life Survey indicate that congregations with (a) an empowering leadership climate, and (b) transformational leaders, are more likely to be financially strong, growing, and populated by members who are more involved with their religious lives.
