Impact of Congregational Size on Clergy Experience

This technical paper examines the impact of congregational size on clergy experiences in ministry. Findings show a number of differences in the characteristics of pastors in small congregations (small churches are often served by second-career and non-seminary educated clergy), but surprisingly few differences in ministry experience, according to the 2001 U.S. Congregational Life Survey.
