Calvin Institute of Christian Worship
The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship (CICW) promotes the study of Christian worship and the renewal of worship in worshipping communities worldwide. Founded in 1997, CICW is an interdisciplinary study and ministry center based at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary and partners with congregations, organizations, and publishers to further our mission.
The website (www.calvin.edu/worship) encourages visitors to learn more about worship by:
- reading and downloading free materials, from short, practical articles to in-depth, scholarly papers
- discussing bi-monthly Vital Worship feature stories that highlight how leaders, pastors, and congregations are prayerfully seeking to renew their worship
- adapting worship-planning aids, including worship service outlines, visual arts suggestions, and more
- purchasing our books (more than 40 titles), published by five major publishers
- registering for a training event, including the annual January Symposium on Worship
- applying for a Worship Renewal Grant
